What is Medicare Advantage or Part C?

Medicare Advantage, also known as "Part C," is a CMS-approved plan offered by private companies as an alternative to Original Medicare for health and drug coverage. These "bundled" plans include Part A and Part B and may also cover prescription drugs (Part D), along with additional benefits like dental, hearing, vision, and more.

Typically, you’ll need to use doctors within the plan’s network. Medicare Advantage plans may have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare and may offer extra benefits such as gym memberships, OTC funds, and Part B premium reimbursements.
