How much will I pay for Original Medicare?

Original Medicare consists of two parts: Part A (hospital services) and Part B (outpatient services). Each part may require a monthly premium.

Part A premiums depend on the contributions you’ve made to Medicare during your working years. If you’ve worked for at least 10 years and paid Medicare taxes during that time, you’ll qualify for Part A with no premium.

Part B premiums are based on your taxable income from two years prior and are determined using the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). These premiums can change annually.

In addition to premiums, there are also co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance costs. For the most current cost information, please refer to the latest CMS guidelines
